Photo: Getty ImagesCape Coral, FL - Authorities have launched an investigation after two Southwest Florida schools were placed on lockdown Thursday after being victims of a possible swatting call. Parents of students at Mariner High School and Mariner Middle School in Cape Coral were notified Thursday that both schools were placed on lockdown due to a possible threat at the high school. As a precaution, both schools were placed on lockdown. According to the School District of Lee County, no injuries were reported and the threat is being investigated as a possible swatting call.
