CAPE CORAL, Fla. — If you live or work near any of Cape Coral's canals, you can be a part of a study to find out how blue-green algae toxins affect our health long-term. 'Do the toxins build up in the body over time? And if the toxins do build up over time, what are potential long-term health impacts of these toxin exposures?' said Shirley Gordon, Professor of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Researchers from FAU are looking for 30 more people to undergo health testing next week at the Public Works Department.
